Michelle & Alex - Saint Andrews By the Sea

Before moving to Halifax, NS two years ago, I spent a lot of time in Saint Andrews-by-the-Sea (official name btw!!) so I was excited to get there for Michelle & Alex’s big celebration! I was able to explore a little, camera in hand of course, around town before heading to the classic Algonquin Resort for their welcome party on the Garden Rooftop. The evening was finished with the perfect sunset over an incredible view.
The wedding day started calm among family and we headed to Minister’s Island for the ceremony. Minister’s Island can only be accessed during low tide as the sea floor is also the road to the Island.
The ceremony was gorgeously decorated with Galbraith Florist and coordinated by Danielle’s Wedding & Events. The team also did a beautiful job creating a magical reception space at The Drewhaven.

Post ceremony and before the tide started to rise, guests enjoyed exploring the sea floor just steps down from the aisle. Cocktail hour was spent back in town at the Drewhaven’s european-feeling patio-many smiles, drinks, and live music kept the party going into the night.

Thank you to Danielle’s team, Oksana of Galbraith Florist, and Amélie Films for being the best at what they do and for making me laugh so much!

Kathleen & David - Maritime Wedding, Saint Andrews By the Sea

The wedding where I left with two new bffs- seriously Kathleen & David are a pair unlike any other. They spent the entire day together and did not ever stop laughing. The design was impeccable and beautifully thought out by Kathleen herself, including drawing the Algonquin on the invitation set!!

We explored the ocean floor and Kingsbury Gardens, then they walked into a crowd of seated guests and got married by their cousin in 5 minutes then celebrated with good friends and delicious food.

Please enjoy the most beautiful day <3
