Maritime Wedding Photographer

Jordan MacDonald

Hi! I'm Jordan and I love meeting people, connecting with them, laughing with them, and I especially love taking their photographs.

Photography and art have always been an interest of mine, from my days growing up in Cape Breton, university in Newfoundland, my 20’s in New Brunswick, and our new big move to Halifax! After a few years in marketing & sales I was left feeling constantly unfulfilled; I decided to chase my childhood dream of becoming a photographer in 2018.

Every wedding, elopement & session leaves me with a sense of purpose; to preserve the memories someone will cherish the rest of their lives. It is truly an indescribable feeling, and it keeps me inspired for every story yet to be told…

As your wedding photographer:

  • I will be your third wheel, your bff, your tips giver, your rock, family director, and your hype gal. I’m level headed and fun, the perfect mix for your wedding photographer :)

  • I work with you to create a timeline that highlights what’s most important to you

  • Candids happen throughout the day (of everyone and everything!)

  • Posed portraits can be short, long, planned and/or random, it depends on what you like and what your timeline allows.

  • During posed portraits or planned moments, I help choose locations and direct & pose.

  • When taking candids, I give limited directions to not interrupt real life and emotions

  • I do my best to photograph all of your friends and family

  • I believe that editing is an art form. I take great care in editing all images sent in your wedding gallery - this could be a very long conversation if you want to dive in

  • Your enjoyment is my number one priority!!

  • You Feel The Same Way Too by The Rankins is my caffeine hit- see you on the dance floor!

The random advice I like to give:

  • Attend your cocktail hour! See the people you love and that love you

  • Make family photos enjoyable and not a task

  • Change the order of your ceremony to Vows, Rings, KISS then sign

  • During your Thank You Speech, skip thanking the vendors and remind your guests why we are here (to celebrate your love!!!)

Each wedding gallery encompasses my style, I describe it with 3 words: emotional, editorial, and vibrant

Emotional

Capturing the moments that will become your favourite memories. Emotional images that will stand the test of time and leave you reminiscing.

Editorial

Traditionally, editorial images are those used alongside an article in a magazine or newspaper. We have taken that concept and applied it to the images that tell your story (and also feel like they belong in a magazine)

True to Life Wedding Photographer

Vibrant

Vibrancy radiates, not only in images that feel full of life, but also through our editing style which focuses on enhancing true to life imagery to capture the brilliance and colour of your day.
